Terms and conditions

Plain English, and short. If anything here is unclear, please just ask — I would rather explain it than have you wondering.

Who you are buying from

Verity June Jewellery, a sole trader based in Guernsey. You can reach me at info@verityjunejewellery.com.

Prices and payment

Prices are in pounds sterling and include everything except delivery, which is shown before you pay. Payment is taken by SumUp, who handle card details — they never reach this website.

A made-to-order piece is not bought through the shop. We agree the piece and the price between us first, and I send you a link to pay half before I start and a second link for the balance before it is sent.

Your order is confirmed when you receive the confirmation email. If something you have ordered turns out to be unavailable I will contact you and refund you in full.

Made to order

Many pieces are made once you have ordered, particularly rings, which are made to your size. Made-to-order pieces currently take up to 3 weeks before dispatch. If that changes I will let you know.

Because each is made for you, made-to-order pieces cannot be returned unless they are faulty or not as described. Your legal rights are unaffected.

Delivery and collection

Within Guernsey, delivery is £4.95 on every order, and is shown at checkout before you pay. Free local collection from my workshop. I will message you to arrange a time.

Ordering from outside Guernsey: Please get in touch before ordering and I will confirm the postage cost, along with any VAT or import charges that apply where you are. Orders to an address outside it cannot be placed through the website, so nothing is charged until we have agreed the cost between us.

I post as soon as a piece is ready. Once it is with the postal service the timing is out of my hands, though I will always help chase anything that goes astray.

Returns and exchanges

We want you to be happy with your purchase. Returns and exchanges are accepted within 28 days of purchase. Items must be unused, unworn, and returned in their original condition and packaging. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is faulty. Please note: this does not apply to made-to-order pieces, which are made for one person.

Nothing here affects your legal rights.

Made-to-order pieces

A made-to-order piece is one of my own designs, made for you in the size you choose. By placing a made-to-order order, you agree to the following terms:

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required before work begins.
The remaining balance is due before your piece is sent.
A made-to-order piece is made specifically for you and is therefore non-refundable and non-returnable.
Once work has started, orders cannot be cancelled or altered.
Minor variations may occur, because every piece is made by hand.

I do not take bespoke commissions — everything I make starts from a design that is already mine.

Warranty

Every piece carries a 12-month manufacturing warranty from the date of purchase, covering manufacturing faults only — not general wear, accidental damage or misuse. What it does and does not cover, in full, sits with the care instructions.

Gift vouchers

Gift vouchers are sent by email with a code, are valid for a year from purchase, can be spent across more than one order, and cannot be exchanged for cash.

Handmade pieces

Everything is made by hand from natural stones, so no two pieces are quite identical. Small differences in colour, marking and shape are part of what they are, not faults.

If something is wrong

Please email me. I would always rather put something right than have you unhappy with it. These terms are governed by the law of Guernsey.
